Bayern Munich are desperate to catch Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga this season.

The German giants have had a tumultuous season, but now seem to be on track to win the title.

Bayern played against Augsburg on a Friday night to give them maximum preparation time for the UEFA Champions League clash with Liverpool next week.

But they took the worst start possible in Augsburg when Goretzka turned his own net to eleven seconds.

Augsburg immediately attacked on the left wing and, as Goretzka returned to the surface, the ball went away from his heel and into the net.

His teammates seemed bewildered by this incident as Augsburg celebrated his gift goal.

Bayern Munich are well on target to move 3-2 after half-time.

Two goals from Kingsley Coman and a David Alaba attack brought Bayern to the forefront.

Liverpool prepares to face Bayern by heading to Marbella for a warm weather training.

They are not in action in the FA Cup this week and Andrew Robertson is eager to go on Tuesday night.

"We have to be in the game for this game," he said.

"They have been such a good team for six or seven years and we know how difficult it will be.

"But we believe we can cause problems for all teams and we need to be at our best."

He added, "I think that's what all good teams do. [maximise home advantage].

"We had a good race last season and especially in the Champions League, I think it helped a lot. Everyone knows how special nights there are in the Champions League. We feed on each other.

"Players feed on fans and fans feed on players because it's up to us to convince them to have something to say. But it also helps when they support us and that may give you that extra percentage or whatever in the game.

"That's why home fans are. Every club has one and we have to make the most of it. "
