Paul Merson believes Chelsea will bounce back from his 6-0 loss to Man City by eliminating Manchester United from the FA Cup.
The Blues players were beaten by Pep Guardiola's team as pressure mounted on manager Maurizio Sarri after a disappointing start to life at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea scored a 2-1 success at Malmo Thursday night in the Europa League and Merson expects Sarri's team to regain its best against United.
Writing for Sky Sports, he explained: "United was brought back to earth by Paris Saint-Germain the other day.
"It's a tough game, it's one of those I think Chelsea will win, I think defeat in the Champions League will overthrow Man Utd."
"Jesse Lingard will miss them, he's a bit of an unsung hero for them." When he went against PSG, it was at that time. "The players who arrive like Alexis Sanchez have failed.
"It's a huge match for both." Man Utd is under pressure after defeating PSG in the Champions League.
"Their season could ignite in a week, because if they are beaten here, they will not participate in the FA Cup and will face a difficult task to stay in the Champions League.
"This period for me is where Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will get the job or not."
Merson predicted a 2-1 win for the Blues.
