Niko Kovac said his team at Bayern Munich were planning an upcoming trip to Liverpool for Augsburg, but understands their distraction.
Bayern had to double behind Augsburg in the Bundesliga on Friday, after a mere 13 seconds' delay on Leon Goretzka's goal.
Kingsley Coman scored two equalizers, although the winger could not finish the match due to an ankle injury and named David Alaba for the winner.
The victory has allowed Bayern to get closer to two points of Bundesliga leader Borussia Dortmund, whose next match will be held on Monday in Nuremberg.
Bayern is gaining momentum and putting pressure on Dortmund, but Kovac said his team was not completely focused on Augsburg. A first leg of the Champions League will be played on Tuesday in Liverpool.
"We had trouble getting into the game. I do not remember conceding a goal so early, it was very annoying," he told reporters.
"But we fought, especially in the first half – it was clearer in the second half." Taken as a whole, it was a win as a worker, but deserved.
"Maybe some of us had Liverpool in mind, it 's possible – it' s not good, but human.

Augsburg can take advantage of his enthusiastic performance, led by formidable left-back Philipp Max, who created their two goals.
But if coach Manuel Baum has praised Augsburg for the Bundesliga champions, their fifth defeat in six league games will do little to fight relegation.
"By the end of the day, we are empty handed," said coach Augsburg.
"But the bottom line is that 11 players plus submarines were on the ground and gave everything.
"We have a young team, they have tried everything and pushed Bayern to the limit and all the credit goes to my team."
