The back center says it's a joy to play under his new boss, even though the Norwegian is not afraid to sometimes use the "hair dryer treatment"
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may have restored positivity to Manchester United, but Chris Smalling insists the interim manager has a "bad side".
United won 10 and played one of his first 11 games after the former striker succeeded José Mourinho in December. His undefeated ended Tuesday against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.
Solskjaer was commended both for improving United's standard on the pitch and for cheering up Old Trafford after a difficult month under Mourinho.

But while Smalling says it's "a joy to play," he says Solskjaer is not afraid to use a stricter approach when needed.
"I think he's got that kind of nasty side," Smalling told MUTV. "I think every manager has one, the so-called hair dryer treatment when it takes a bit of a turnaround, a manager has to cover all the faces, it's a pleasure to play under and he's great."
United will face Chelsea in the FA Cup on Monday, knowing that the competition represents his best chance of finishing the season with silverware.
Smalling is confident about his positive result at Stamford Bridge, not least because he was two steps away from a 2-1 league victory this season before Ross Barkley scored a tying goal.

"This year we make sure we get a trophy and on Monday we will try everything," he said.
"The record at Chelsea, you're right, we did not have too many good results, but I thought that earlier in the season we were so close to winning until the last second. we played very well there, so let's start and improve that performance.
"The fact that we are Monday night means that the whole world is watching us and they will be looking to improve the result of the weekend. [at Manchester City]as we will do [after PSG]so it's a great game all around. "
Smalling feels ready to play his part for the rest of the season after recognizing that he was too quickly back from a broken foot in December.

"I'm completely healed from the broken toe now." It was good to be available again on Saturday [against Fulham] and put this game to my credit, "he said.
"It's all about managing my next game and getting back to the physical level, and I hope that I'll be available for all games until the end of the season.
"Across the Fulham and Arsenal [home] games, I had injections then I had more injections for the Liverpool match [at Anfield] but it aggravated the injury. So, we had to get things right and get back as soon as possible, but first and foremost to make sure everything was fine. "
