Sheikh I.C Quaye, Chairman of the Hajj Board of Directors, announced that the price of the Hajj pilgrimage in 2019 is 19,500 GHC, the equivalent of $ 3,750.

According to the Chairman of the Board, this amount was achieved despite the recent difficulties and various measures put in place by the committee to ensure participants a smooth, secure and better travel experience.

Sheikh Quaye, who said this during the official launch of the Hajj 2019 season in Accra, said the payment of the Hajj package would not be accepted after the deadline of 30 April 2019. According to him, an advance payment is necessary to avoid delays that make planning difficult.

"The quota for the 2019 season is 6,000 pilgrims. We also charge GH 19,500.00 per pilgrim. From today, pilgrims will start paying. A deadline is also necessary because otherwise there will be trouble and that is why the deadline has been set for April 30, 2019.

"

Sheikh I.C Quaye also promised participants that this year will be a stress-free experience for pilgrims, as his committee, with the support of the Akufo-Addo government, was still committed to making this annual trip a success.

Through the free medical screening carried out by the medical team of the Office of Pilgrim Affairs of Ghana, the protection provided by men and women in charge of the security of peacekeeping operations and the free meals offered by the committee, the p nothing to complain about.

"The services we will offer are numerous. This year will be the best of the best. But people have to pay so we can start planning now. This is why the deadline will also be applied forcefully. Last year, a total of 5,536 pilgrims were flown from Ghana to Saudi Arabia for the annual pilgrimage.
