He added that the speed at which breweries and drink bars were taking shape in the country was alarming and disturbing, with some being cited near schools.
Mr. Abaa, who made this call through the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Bolgatanga, said that because of the proximity of the schools, students sometimes dropped clbades to go for a drink, which affected their academic work.
He urged the various metropolitan, municipal and district bademblies to take measures to regulate the growing number of bars, especially those located near schools.
Citing, for example, the Upper East region, Abaa said many schools in the region, including Bolgatanga High School, Zamse Technical High School, Bolgatanga Girls High School and many high schools, had access to high schools. drinks located nearby.
The Executive Director said that education and law enforcement were essential to fight against alcoholism and drug abuse and called on the government, the business community, philanthropists, business partners, development, traditional and religious leaders to support LOAD-Ghana in the development of its activities in the region.
The NGO works for the establishment of a drug-free society so that all realize the talents that God has given them and contribute significantly to the development of the nation.
Over the years, LOAD-Ghana has organized a series of outreach and counseling programs in schools and other institutions in the region.
