The Ghana Publishing Company Limited (GPCL) signed on Friday, February 15, 2019 a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Science and Technology Kwame Nkrumah (KNUST) in the hall of the university board.

The MOU is to be a legally binding agreement initiated by the Ghana Publishing Company, jointly signed with KNUST, to enable both parties to collaborate on mutually beneficial activities in the areas of research, research and development. exchange of skills and competencies and capacity building of human resources.

The Memorandum of Understanding will give both institutions the opportunity to jointly research and collaborate on printing and publishing contracts, offer internship and placement opportunities to print students / graduates. and in publication of KNUST and the organization of training and development programs for the staff of Ghana Publishing Company Limited. .

Professor Kwasi Obiri-Danso, Vice-Chancellor of KNUST, welcomed the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding. He added that he hoped that the agreement would help strengthen relations, which would benefit both institutions.

He encouraged GPCL to position itself to meet the demands of printing and publishing the local economy.

He also added that the University intends to take advantage of the opportunity offered by the agreement to provide valuable practical experience to its students in printing and printing and collaborate in the design of courses related to the subject. publishing and printing meeting the current requirements of the printing and publishing sector.
