Paul O 'Grady's heart is broken by the death of his beloved dog Bullseye after an epileptic seizure

Paul O 'Grady is heartbroken after the death of his beloved dog, Bullseye.

The animal lover revealed that he had lost his dog, suffering from epilepsy, during an epileptic fit.

Paul, who presents the television show For The Love Of Dogs and is ambbadador for Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, shared the sad news with his listeners on BBC Radio 2.

The star revealed that he had driven Bullseye to the vet after an epileptic seizure, but he died in the car on the way.

He said, "Now I will tell you my bad news.

"You know I've had an epileptic dog called Bullseye, I have two dogs that suffer from epilepsy and I manage it with medications.

"However, on Monday evening, he had a seizure, like a very serious one that he did not get out of and died on the way to the vets at 2 am He died in the car."

Paul with a broken heart, 63, said that the situation had worsened when he returned home and that he had discovered one that his other dogs had eaten chocolate.

He added: "I come back from the vets at home and one of my other dogs had found a chocolate bar containing 80% cocoa that had been stupidly left stupid – not by me! I do not like chocolate – on the coffee table.

"So we had to go home, it was the same veterinarian urgently, so that she could get her stomach pumping and we found her two days later.

"I can not tell you, old Bullseye.

"He was an adorable dog, he had a soft spot for the doors, he had to convince him and he did not want to ride in. That was part of his condition, I think, he was a nice little dog who would was missing a lot. "

Paul added that Bullseye was "gone but not forgotten".
