Ghanaian defender Baba Abdul Rahman made his debut on Sunday at the Stade de Reims in French Ligue 1 in the 2-0 win over Stade de Rennes.

The left-back that had been lent by Chelsea in the winter transfer window lasted the entire match as a host of the cruise to victory.

Rahman made his first appearance in competition after 68 days and was extremely impressed by those who lacked playing time.

The 24-year-old left Schalke after a second loan to the Royal Blues, where he played his last competitive game for the club in the league champions against Lokomotiv Moscow.

After two minutes of play, Stade Reims took the advantage over Boulaye Dia after a brilliant play.

Dia's partner, Remi Oudin, doubled the lead in the second half with a left-foot shot in the 68th minute.

This victory places Stade Reims in seventh place in front of OGC Nice with 38 points in 25 matches.

Baba Rahman is expected to visit Monte Montpellier next Sunday after an impressive debut.
