Finn Balor after his title win IC
Finn Balor after his title win IC

What is the story?

Tonight at the WWE Elimination Chamber, Finn Balor won his second title in the main formation. As leader of the Balor Club, he defeated Bobby Lashley to win the WWE Intercontinental Title.

After Balor's victory, he received a heartfelt message on social media from his friend and former Universal Champion, Kevin Owens.

In case you did not know …

In 2018, Kevin Owens was involved in a fierce rivalry with Bobby Lashley. After being injured on Raw by Owens, Owens would eventually be struck off the television to make sure he could get surgery on his right knee.

Owens ended up having both knees worked. However, a few months ago, it was announced on Raw that Owens and his best friend Sami Zayn would return to WWE TV soon.

As for Owens, he was also trained by Adam Cole, the star of NXT, before his return.

The heart of the problem

Since arriving in the main line-up in 2016, Finn Balor has had a lot of trouble dealing with injuries, so much so that he has had to leave his new Universal Championship just after the day he l '39 had captured for the first time at SummerSlam 2016.

However, Balor entered the story tonight by winning for the first time the WWE Intercontinental Championship title, when he defeated Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush in a two-game matchup. one with handicap.

After Balor's win, the new IC champion was congratulated by former IC champion Kevin Owens, who sent a heartfelt message about his good friend's victory at the prestigious Intercontinental Championship.

And after?

Kevin Owens is likely to return to the WWE before or after WrestleMania 35, which is still in two months. If Owens makes his return to Raw before the "Mania 35", I personally think that a match with Finn Balor at WrestleMania for the Intercontinental Championship would be a great decision.
