Tamzin Outhwaite, an EastEnders actress, and her ten year old daughter have been left crying and fear being separated for a visa problem in India.

The 48-year-old star, who plays Mel Owen on the BBC soap opera, was planning a yoga retreat in Goa with Florence "after a difficult year".

But their plan was thwarted by airport immigration officers who pushed them back because Outhwaite had a pbadport stamp in Mumbai for a connecting flight to London during the New Year.

The actress was afraid that she would be separated from Florence because the girl's visa was valid – but hers was not.

They had been sitting "crying" in immigration in Goa, but eventually returned home on another nine-hour flight to Britain.

Florence is one of two girls that shares Outhwaite with her ex-husband Tom Ellis, known for the BBC Miranda comedy and the American Lucifer series.

Outhwaite, whose other daughter is six-year-old Marnie Mae, lives in a five-bedroom house in the amount of £ 1.7 million in Crouch End, North London.

In a series of tweets posted yesterday afternoon, she said, "My 10 year old and I just got denied entry to India because of my visa, which was still valid.

"But apparently, a pbadport stamp in Mumbai to get a connecting flight to London for the New Year counts as an entrance.

"We were both sitting crying on immigration at the Goa airport, but no one died and, after nine hours of flying, we are back to Blighty!

"Having only one week for a mother / daughter healing vacation after a difficult year means we are now looking for a new trip.

"It will not be a family yoga retreat, but a liaison trip will suffice.

"I am very proud of my daughter who cried like me, but I was especially worried that we would be separated like families in the United States because her visa was valid, but not mine.

"Fortunately we are at home. I am a country where I feel lucky and proud to live. #Backgammontimes # Scarybuthome. & # 39;

Outhwaite added that strangers had helped them at the Goa airport by handing them facial tissues – and that she was now on the market for last minute vacations elsewhere.
