Star Wars: Episode IX finished filming last week, after a long period of nine months work, which could only mean one thing – a final evening.
Judging by the images and videos leaked, the celebration of the end of the Skywalker saga, first appeared on the big screen in 1977, was rather a celebration.
Star Wars 9 is the last time this cast will work together, unless you slip into spin-offs. This is unlikely since Rian Johnson is doing his own trilogy and the team behind Game of Thrones is starting a new story in a galaxy far, far away.
The evening, which took place on Saturday at Old Billingsgate, included a human disco ball, wandering satyrs roaring among party-goers and a roller-skating rink in the 1970s.
There was also a human-shaped topiary and DJ Frank Marshall available for playing music late into the night. Guests also reported that Dynamo was there to perform magic.
John Boyega, who plays Finn, even got up and sang a remix of A Thousand Miles by Vanessa Carlton, enough to make you cry.
Boyega was on hand to share all the details of the party, as Joonas Suotamo – that's Chewbacca in the new movies.
Accessory Master Sam Farr also shared videos and photos.
Apparently, Jamie Oliver was on hand to provide the food too …
And the martinis where you have to drink in the smoke …
JJ Abrams and Kathleen Kennedy rose to give a thank-you speech on the occasion of the last six years of work.

There were also emotional farewells.
You can hear Boyega saying, "Joonas, it's a personal and rather public message that says I'm going to miss you, man. I will miss you so much. I will cry for 30 days and 30 nights. And there will be no food, but bread and water. I'm going to cry my tears so hard, man, my brain will probably come out of my ears. "
The actors and the film crew shared a photo of the shooting on Friday to mark the end of the shoot.
Abrams said: "It seems impossible, but today, I photographed episode IX. There is no adequate way to thank this truly magical crew and cast. I am forever indebted to you. "
Boyega said, "This is the summary of episode 9 of Star Wars and the end of a chapter of my life for which I could not be more grateful. What process! It's really a joy to be in these films surrounded by extraordinary people. I personally want to thank @jjabramsofficial for giving me the chance to make my dreams come true. "
Although the shooting is finished, there is still some post-production work.
There is no title for the film yet, no trailer, although it is expected before or during the Star Wars celebration in April.
