Legend

The Templeton Hotel has 24 rooms and operates since 1990.

The owners of Galgorm Resort have purchased the Templeton Hotel in Templepatrick and are planning to redevelop it.

The company claims that this purchase represents an investment of about 7 million pounds sterling.

The Galgorm Resort, near Ballymena, in County Antrim, is one of the most profitable hotel operations in Northern Ireland in recent years.

The company that controls it – Tullymore House Ltd – made pre-tax profit of more than £ 7 million in 2017.

The company has other catering companies in Belfast and plans to develop a hotel in the Ormeau district of the city.

Managing Director, Colin Johnston, said all current employees of the Templeton Hotel, in Antrim County, would be retained and that another 50 jobs would be created.

This will bring the total number of employees in the group to nearly 1,000.

This 24-room hotel, operated since 1990, was owned by the McCombe family.
