JOHANNESBURG – The Gloria coal mine in Mpumalanga said relief operations were again hampered by more toxic gases.
Late in the night from Sunday to Sunday, rescue teams had to be removed from the mine and additional fans were brought in for better ventilation.
Thirteen people died in a gas explosion at the mine earlier this month.
Seven bodies discovered underground last week have still not been brought to the surface.
Mike Elliot, of the mine, said that a dozen miners are still missing.
