Kumasi skier Asante Kotoko, Amos Frimpong, believes the Porcupine Warriors need a positive result against the Zambian team, Nkana Red Devils, to improve their chances of qualifying for the Confederation Cup Group of the United States. CAF.

Kotoko will face Zambians in Kitwe on Sunday in their third Group C continental campaign game and Frimpong is expecting his teammates to work hard to avoid losing.

The Porcupine Warriors are third in an open group of four teams: ZESCO United, Al Hilal, Kotoko and Nkana, who have three points in two games, respectively.

In an interview with Graphic Sports, the 26-year-old captain explained that Kotoko had to win all three home games in Kumasi and force either a win or a draw for a chance to win.

"We need a positive result against Nkana to increase our chances of qualifying the group because it's an open goal.

"Our three home games are a must-win for us, so I think the focus should be on the away matches and how we can get good results," he said. -he declares.

Kotoko rallied after his first defeat against Sudanese Al Hilal to edge ahead of group leader ZESCO 2-1 at Baba Yara Stadium last Wednesday.
