South Africa and Turkey expressed their commitment to provide training and capacity building to pilots and technical teams in Ghana.
This initiative aims to support Ghana's vision of becoming an aviation hub.
The ambbadadors of South Africa and Turkey made these pledges on behalf of their governments during a courtesy visit to Aviation Minister Kofi Adda.
One after another, the ambbadadors took turns with Mr. Adda to discuss ways to support the development of Ghana's aviation industry.
According to the Ambbadador of Turkey, Mrs Öslem Ergün Ulueren, her government had already signed an agreement with the former minister of the sector to provide badistance in the field of pilot training in Ghana and therefore presented a document to Kofi Adda.
She said: "Turkey is also interested in offering training in the field of training, so this document aims at providing training to Ghanaian pilots in Turkey, because we have a great expertise in this field."
Öslem Ergün Ulueren said the project was supported by Turkish Airlines, one of the largest airlines in the world.
The Minister of Aviation accepted the document and promised to badyze it for further discussion.
For her part, the ambbadador for South Africa, Lulu Xingwana, said that her country also had a lot to offer in the areas of capacity building of aviation professionals.
She added that South Africa Airlines was seeking to formalize its company with an aboriginal airline, Africa World Airlines.
"We are ready to support Africa World Airlines in any capacity and, if necessary, we will train their pilots and their crews so that they can work on aircraft not only in South Africa, but also in Ghana. "
Mr Adda welcomed all the suggestions and suggestions suggesting that this was in line with the Ministry's objective of developing the aviation industry in Ghana.
