Steven Gerrard, Ibrox's Glasgow Rangers coach, and Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers are not fans of the plastic courts.

Kris Boyd suggested in The Scottish Sun that Steven Gerrard, Rangers director, and Brendan Rodgers, boss of Celtic, should accept the fact that the plastic courts are here to stay.
Rangers boss Gerrard and Celtic manager Rodgers have expressed concern over the plastic courts in Scotland, as quoted in The Daily Record and The Daily Mail.
Kilmarnock themselves play on a plastic court at Rugby Park and hit them, Boyd – who had two different spells at the Rangers – suggested that Gerrard and Rodgers should accept the fact that such grounds are here to stay.
Boyd wrote in The Scottish Sun: "Whether Steven Gerrard or Brendan Rodgers like it or not – and I understand their concerns, the surfaces are here to stay.
"In Scotland, 15 of our 42 professional teams have artificial surfaces and this number will only grow.
"In terms of financial sustainability, it is necessary for some clubs to get rid of their lawn. And making turf pitches a prerequisite for playing in high flying just does not work. "
Accept the reality
There are no rules prohibiting plastic pitches and it would be better if Rodgers and Gerrard agree that they should take care of it.
After all, Kilmarnock, Livingston and Hamilton Academical play on plastic courts, and their players get used to it and do not complain about playing on them.
Title race
Meanwhile, Celtic are eight points ahead of the Rangers at the top of the Scottish Premiership standings.

There are still enough games for the Gers to catch up with the Hoops, but until Rodgers' team collapses, it's hard to see the Rangers close the gap.
