Ole Gunnar Solskjaer explains how Paul Pogba of Man Utd destroyed Chelsea

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer always knew that Paul Pogba was recovering after a night to forget against Paris Saint-Germain.

Pogba lost his lead after being sent off against the French champions last Tuesday.

Solskjaer knew that the 2-16 defeat in the first leg in the first leg would not destabilize the 25-year-old.

He scored again at Stamford Bridge and continues to be revitalized under the new boss after the departure of Jose Mourinho.

Inspired Pogba has now been directly involved in 15 goals since Solskjaer took office.

His manager gave him more offensive license than in recent weeks with injured Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard.

United are in charge of FA Cup and Premier League

"We know that he is one of the best offensive midfielders in the world, he has the vision, the vision of the player," Solskjaer said.

"The goal for Ander was fantastic, then he plays again for Marcus (Rashford) and his way into the box.

"We had some good days of training," added the manager.

"Of course, you want him to see and find room." Ander had more freedom to wander, and he was recently asked to sit down, and today we needed more of arrivals in the box because of Marcus [Rashford] and Rom [Lukaku] to be wider too.

Pogba still scored under the goalkeeper – and he wants it to remain

"He (Pogba) had a tough game against PSG, but I thought he was probably our best player, and he always had two or three players at his side.

"It was an excellent response, of course, he is playing against one of the best defensive midfielders in the world with N & G Kante by his side, I thought today that he had found the spaces, it was fantastic. "

The midfielder was delighted with another excellent performance under Solskjaer.

The French star is a sensation since the dismissal of Jose Mourinho

"It's a great win," Pogba told BBC Sport. "It was a great performance from the whole team."

"It was not easy, we did it and we are very happy with this victory.

"We are Manchester United, we play to win trophies. [Solskjaer] took this job because he can do it. He trusts us and we trust him.

"Obviously, we're going, and we never know if we'll win, we'll win."
