The center of the city pbades from South Wales to Schalke Wednesday for the first leg of the last 16 meetings of the Champions League, before a final at Wembley against Chelsea Sunday for the right to lift the first trophy of the season in the Cup of the League.
After ten years of acquiring the club's property in Abu Dhabi, the importance for City to win the Champions League for the first time would have allowed the champions of England to give priority to Europe this season.
However, after being defeated in the league with a record 100 points last year, Pep Guardiola's players now aspire to beat another record by beating even the league's triple, Champions League and the Manchester United FA Cup in 1998/99.
Two weeks after the 6-0 win over Chelsea, City will be the favorite to retain the League Cup this weekend and should face a Schalke team languishing in 14th place in the Bundesliga to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
A 4-1 victory in Newport also helped to reach the last eight games of the FA Cup and City also ranks first in the Premier League in terms of goal difference, although Liverpool has a late match.
"Better to be in this situation," insisted Guardiola to win four trophies, rather than focusing his resources on the glory of the Champions League and the Premier League, as has already managed the team's Jurgen Klopp after the first outings of the National Cup.
"It's important to be here in four competitions in February, and now we're going to the biggest stage, the Champions League, and we'll see what happens in May and June," added Guardiola.

Guardiola has never managed to qualify for the second time in the Champions League since he won the competition for the second time as Barca coach in 2011.
Such has been the domination of Guardiola's teams on the national front. The title was practically completed by the time the Champions League returned in February and reached its peak during the winter months.
This has certainly not been the case this season: after three defeats in December in four Premier League games, hope to end 29 years of victory in Liverpool is expected in Liverpool.
However, a real title race that will not allow City to let go in the final months of the season could still be beneficial to their chances in the Champions League, provided they reach the final stage with more precision only broken.
It's a risk that Guardiola seems willing to take in his quest to rewrite the record books once again.
