Manchester United star Herrera was at his best in the middle of the park as the Red Devils defeated Chelsea in their England Cup clash on Monday night.
The Spanish international put the visitors quickly in the lead with a header after a nice center of Paul Pogba.
Herrera also helped Manchester United out of the match after Pogba doubled his lead shortly before half-time.
The midfielder is now viral for his actions after the match of yesterday.
On a full-time basis, Herrera has approached Alexis Sanchez.
Before the match, Herrera had congratulated the Chilean international for his work ethic despite his bad form in front of goals.
And the Basque star was delighted with his teammate after the match.
Sanchez was introduced late and looked lively as United qualified for the FA Cup quarter-finals.
Herrera then did honor to his teammates before kissing, the midfielder apparently giving Sanchez extra motivation.
The video has now gone viral on social media.
And many United fans call Herrera to replace Antonio Valencia as captain, the Ecuadorian international to leave at the end of the season.
Meanwhile, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer explained what Herrera brings to his team after the match at Stamford Bridge.
"His energy and toughness are essential for us," said the 45-year-old after the victory.
"And that's why he plays more or less every game.
"He has a lot of energy, he can cover the right side, he runs forward.
"Tonight you can not rent one, it's 11 players, plus submarines, but Ander did a fantastic job."
United will be the next player to face Liverpool on Sunday (14:05).
The Red Devils will try to avoid a repeat earlier in the season, where they were beaten 3-1 at Anfield.
