Government condemns shootings in NDC office

The government condemned the firing at the NDC regional office in Ashanti that left a person dead.

A statement signed by the Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, said: "The government expresses its condolences to the bereaved family, wishes a speedy recovery to the wounded and urges the police to speed up investigations to translate the perpetrators in justice."

"The government reiterates that violence should be avoided in all areas of our national life. Citizens and groups are also encouraged to give up actions that create a state of insecurity in our country, "the statement added.
