We live in the "golden age" of robotics, says Tye Brady, chief technology officer at Amazon Robotics. "Robots do not pose a threat to humans," he says, "they create jobs by increasing productivity." Amazon claims to have built more than 100,000 "disk drive robots" to locate, move and ship products faster than humans.
