The A2 Milk share price rose 9% and hit a record

[ad_1]

the A2 Milk Company Ltd (ASX: A2M), the stock price has soared more than 9% today, reaching a record high.

If you have not already read our coverage of the result, I will give you some details.

In New Zealand dollars, A2 Milk revenue increased 41% to December 31, 2018, reaching $ 613.1 million. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) increased 52.7% to $ 218.4 million.

Net income after tax increased 55.1% to $ 152.7 million and earnings per share increased 52.9% to 20.9 cents.

I think you will agree with me that these numbers are impressive after the years of tremendous growth we have seen. A2 Milk also far exceeded market expectations.

As always, the infant formula segment was essential for A2 Milk, generating a turnover of $ 495.5 million, up 45.3%. China's labeled revenue increased 82.6%. The China sector as a whole saw its turnover increase by 50.1% to 171.7 million dollars. The company A2 Milk said that its pace was considerable in small Chinese cities.

Despite the emphasis on infant formula, the fluid milk sector grew 20.2% to $ 83.4 million. This has worked particularly well in Australia and the United States.

What will bring the second half of the 19 year?

Management expects revenue growth to remain strong in the last six months of fiscal year 19, but the company will continue to invest more in marketing to expand into China and the United States. While this may somewhat affect the annual result and EBITDA margins during FY19, this should result in even stronger growth in FY2010 and beyond. .

Even though I would not qualify A2 Milk today because of the strong performance of its stock price over the last few weeks, I would gladly buy its stock because of the much weaker market in October 2018 .

I will be patient and, instead of A2 Milk, I will seek to buy shares of these hot ASX stocks.
