Fainusatu Naomi Abdulai, head of the Prisons Ladies FC team, based in Sunyani, expressed her enthusiasm after the confirmation by the GFA Normalization Committee of a special competition with the women's league clubs.

An agreement between the standardization committee and the clubs of the National Women's League to launch a special competition was concluded on Tuesday 19 February 2019 at the secretariat of the Ghana Football Federation in Accra.

The kickoff of the competition is scheduled for March 9, 2019, on different sites.

Fainusatu said after the meeting on Happy FM that some players were involved in social vices leading to pregnancy due to stopping football in the country.

"Inactive football is a big problem because some players engage in a lot of social vices because they do not play actively, so we are excited about the return of football," she said.

"We thank the standards committee for deciding to organize this special contest so that we can be active again and fit"

"Two of our players are very pregnant and one is pregnant but not visible.

"One of them is married and the others are engaged, so I'm not saying that pregnancy and childbirth are not a good thing, but because they're grown-ups "

"I think if the players play football, they will not get pregnant now, they could actually decide to give birth later," she said.
