"Black Panther", "Westworld" among the winners of the Costume Makers' Guild – Variety

"Crazy Rich Asians", "The Favorite" and "Black Panther" won top honors at the 21st annual Costume Designers Guild Awards, the industry's last guild show before the Oscars on Feb. 24.

"The Favorite" and "Black Panther" are on display this year for the Oscar, along with "The Ballad of Buster Scruggs," "Mary Poppins Returns," and "Mary Queen of Scots."

In the television categories, "Gianni Versace's badbadination: American Crime Story" won the contemporary prize, while "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel "from Amazon and" Westworld "from HBO were awarded respectively. "RuPaul's Drag Race" won the Reality Challenge Award.

Glenn Close, the star of The Wife, received the organization's Spotlight Award, while Ryan Murphy received the Distinguished Fellow Award. Ruth E. Carter, costume designer for "Black Panther", has been recognized for her many accomplishments.
