BOLTON Wanderers will appear in court next month to face a petition filed by HM Revenue and Customs.
The hearing will take place in the High Court on the morning of 20 March.
Meanwhile, Bolton President Ken Anderson is looking to sell the club and says discussions are ongoing with "several" consortia.
But in an update on Bolton's official website, he warned that some rumors of potential investors were "pure fiction".
He said: "During my three years at the club, I have always strived to do my best and to be open and transparent with you, your supporters and, as I have said many times, you will have the first right to know.
"As a result, I will try to separate the facts from the fiction with regard to some of the recent messages on social media platforms and in the media.
"First and foremost, I will never disclose the identity of any potential buyers, since non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) generally prevent it, and rightly so.
"As far as I know, the comments about a Turkish buyer are pure fiction and, as far as I know, there is even more speculation that seems to have been generated by the media." There were also several other comments about a northwestern consortium backed by Russian money.Once, it is pure fiction.
"The facts are that there is a consortium with which the terms of reference have been agreed upon and the discussions are continuing, and in the last few weeks, several other consortia, all of which have signed NDAs, have expressed interest. Discussions are also continuing with them. "
Phil Parkinson's Wanderers are currently second in the last championship before visiting Leeds United on Saturday.
