Abeiku Santana, a well-known and award-winning Ghanaian TV journalist, said that President Nana Akufo-Addo should allocate resources to building demonstration centers rather than a cathedral.
President Akufo-Addo announced his decision to build a mbadive 5,000-seat national cathedral in central Accra early last year and some applauded the decision while others said Opposed it.
In an exclusive interview with Sammykaymedia, Kaya Tours Ghana CEO, Abeiku Santana, explained that the event employs different categories of people: musicians, bloggers, makeup artist, light and stage technicians, DJs, presenters, producers, decorators, etc. Event Centers will stimulate the creative sector and create jobs.
Also called Mr. Tourism, Abeiku Santana added that "the country needs event centers to organize several social events such that it is possible to invite strangers, that is is happening in Benin "… he said.
"The cathedral is limited to religious events only, but most recent school graduates practice music and are not pastors. We all go to church and we love God, but we need event centers and not a cathedral, "he concluded.
