Thirteen workers at Jerfix International Company were electrocuted while installing billboards at Asikam, near Kyebi.
Three of them, Kwadwo Wadasi, 25 years old; Joshua Oboye, 20, and Agyei Taller, 40, were declared dead on arrival at the Kibi Public Hospital.
The bodies of the deceased were deposited at the hospital morgue for autopsy and preservation.
Philip Larbi, 34, George Asante, 30, Ebenezer Addo, 30, Haruna Abdul Rahaman, 23, and Isaac Owusu, 15, were injured and are treated at the Kyebi government hospital.
Ebenezer Tetteh, public relations officer of the eastern region police, Ebenezer Tetteh, told the Ghana News Agency workers.
The other five workers, Emmanuel Danso, 32 years old; Charles K. Nyako, 45 years old; Stephen Namor, 33 years old; Nana Yaw Ofori, 22, and Richard Karikari, 22, were treated and discharged.
Tetteh DSP said the police went to the scene and took pictures of the victims to facilitate investigations.
He pointed out that Jerfix International Company's director, Mr. Jerry Jiriku, and the team's supervisor, Mr. Sampson Sefa Boateng, had been invited to participate in the investigation.
