Group spokeswoman Ellen Acheampong told an Accra-based radio station that most of the affected recruits were previously involved in the "Young in afforestation" program before joining NaBCo when it was launched in November. latest.
She lamented that they receive their compensation quickly from the Forestry Commission until they become members of NaBCo.
In the meantime, GRAPHIC BUSINESS has learned from the NaBCo Secretariat in Accra that payment of benefits has been delayed for some beneficiaries due to data errors detected after due diligence.

"Some of them have received their compensation so far, but have to make sure that we pay them to people who do not meet all the requirements," said a senior NaBCo secretariat official in Accra.
Collaborations
The NaBCo Secretariat will collaborate this year with the agencies identified as Module Implementation Partners (MIPs) to deploy some of the beneficiaries to government agencies in need of their services.
This will ensure that the skills and potential of the beneficiaries are put at the service of the country's development.
For example, the Microfinance and Small Loans Center (MASLOC) will work with NaBCo to staff 216 of its district offices across the country.
The new offices should help MASLOC establish a district-level presence to help administer the small loan program.
