West Ham midfielder Felipe Anderson opened his doors after a tough education in Brazil, revealing that there were times when "we did not have enough food on the table".
The former Lazio winger has impressed since arriving in the Premier League last summer and has scored nine goals and four badists in 30 games this season.
However, in an interview with BBC Sport, Anderson admitted that his childhood in southern Brazil was difficult as his parents struggled to support himself and his four siblings.

When asked how it was for him to grow up, Anderson said, "A difficult childhood but happy.
"There were times when we did not have enough food on the table. At the end of the month, I found that my parents were sad because they were unable to give us the best. They had a lot of debts. Sometimes they had arguments about it.
"This money was not something I saw as an obstacle. If it meant that I had to borrow boots from friends, so be it.
"I draw my strength from that now. This has helped me keep my feet on the ground, stay humble and want to help others because I know that there are so many people in difficult situations. & # 39;

While he is currently at London's stadium, home of the 2012 London Olympics, Anderson also explained how he felt about winning the gold medal with Neymar at Rio 2016.
Neymar and Anderson became close friends in Santos after leading a distance of 600 km from home to join the club because of his outstanding talent for football.
He said: "Neymar is such a joker. He always makes people laugh. He loves his music and likes to make people go up. He has always been like that and he is not going to change.
"If we are somewhere and there is no ground, he will go up on a table and encourage us to play a game of table tennis with a football, two against two. He likes to laugh and mess.
