The full length trailer for Rocketman arrived. KingsmanTaron Egerton is the star of the film as a young Elton John, under the direction of Dexter Fletcher. Fletcher took the infamous direction Bohemian Rhapsody half way to production, after the dismissal of Bryan Singer, the original director.
Rocketman, like the biopic Queen, had been in development for several years before being officially sanctioned last spring. Sir Elton John once named Justin Timberlake his first choice to play it in the film, but this cast never materialized. James McAvoy also had rumors about Tom Hardy's casting role in 2013, with Michael Gracey (The biggest showman) set to direct. Obviously, this iteration of the project collapsed and things did not start again before Egerton's signing in 2017. Since then, navigation has been fluid, with marketing for Rocketman now enter his next step.

Paramount has released the official trailer for Rocketman online, before its debut in theaters in the coming weeks. You can watch the new promo in the space below.
Rocketman was written by Lee Hall (Billy Elliot) and covers John's life from his days before glory as "shy prodigy of piano" Reginald Dwight in his career as international superstar Elton John. The film is also not a conventional biopic, as evidenced by the fantastic musical sequences that we can glimpse in the trailer unveiled until now. At the same time, he covers the more general traits of John's experiences, including his career victories, his personal struggles, and the most important relationships in his life. Jamie Bell (Snowdrop) as a lyricist of John, Bernie Taupin, Bryce Dallas Howard (Jurbadic World: Fallen Kingdom) as his mother Sheila Farbrother and Richard Madden (Bodyguard) as the first manager, John Reid.
The film is also unique in that Egerton sings by himself, instead of being doubled by the real voice of Elton John. The previously released clips provide a glimpse of the actor leaving his mark on iconic tunes like "Tiny Dancer" and, of course, "Rocketman" in the film, just like the trailer. This is not the first time that Egerton shows his musical talents on the big screen, having already sung in the animated film Illumination. Sing. While attacking Elton John's songs is certainly not a trivial task, but the actor seems to have managed to capture the spirit of John's music while giving a new turn to sound. Hoping Rocketman also succeeds in doing justice to the unpredictable life of the singer-songwriter.
