Leicester City is worried about the suitability of two key players before this Premier League weekend match against Crystal Palace.
The Foxes host the Eagles at King Power Stadium on Saturday night. Leicester have not won any win since the New Year, when they beat Everton 1-0 at Goodison Park.
And Leicester City boss Claude Puel confirmed doubts about the availability of English stars Ben Chilwell and James Maddison before the match.
Puel confirmed the news at his pre-match press conference today (Thursday). Chilwell is expected to face a final physical fitness test after receiving a shot, while Maddison should also undergo a late physical fitness test play on the weekend.
Leicester will also be without Daniel Amartey and Marc Albrighton, who are currently marginalized with ankle and hamstring injuries, respectively.
But Puel confirmed that Nampalys Mendy was available again and could face Palace.
Meanwhile, Puel feared Jamie Vardy could or could not leave at King Power Stadium on Saturday, having been named to the bench for Leicester's recent 3-1 defeat against Tottenham.
Vardy came off the bench and missed a penalty in the defeat at Wembley, when Demarai Gray took the advantage at Foxes, and Puel spoke of his options for this weekend.
"We need different options, we can not rely solely on Jamie [Vardy], "says Puel.
"I was happy with Demarai [Gray] and I was satisfied with his performance. This team is a team and I am trying to develop different options.
"We had difficulties with our final product. I am happy to see Demarai hold this position and he has a bright future. He can take space, he can dribble, he has more freedom. "
