The big players have to perform this weekend

The scoreless draw with Bayern Munich has not been a bad result for the Reds.

I am convinced that we can score in Allianz and a goal on the outside could be decisive.

The tie is still in the balance but the attention has to turn to Manchester United.

Every trip to Old Trafford is important but this one is absolutely huge.

A win on Sunday would not only make us fire on the league 's finish line, but also give us the confidence to continue in the Champions League.

The big players have to arrive on weekends.

Salah, Firmino and Mane all have a good performance on the outside against a great team after quiet days this season against Chelsea, Manchester City, Spurs, Arsenal, Napoli and PSG. (Michael Atherton, Crosby)

The insane Bayern could be forced to pay again

For the first time in a long time, Europe occupies a secondary place in the league – a testament to Liverpool's fantastic national form.

While the league is the priority of many supporters, the European nights in Anfield have all the paces.

The match against Bayern did not start, both parties being guilty of neglected and unceded errors.

Liverpool has failed to rely on the heightened pressure he has exerted on Bayern at the end of the first half and will have to avoid a defeat on the outside for the first time in Europe this season.

Bayern Munich was foolish enough to believe that a scoreless draw at Anfield was enough to take them to Paris in 1981.

Summer arrivals more encouraging

It was a decent performance against Bayern Munich, it was missing only one thing.

Before the match, concerns were about the lack of central defenders, but it turned out that the three usually reliable players moved the lines.

The encouraging performances of Fabinho as an improvised central back and Naby Keita, who continues to improve with each performance.

The biggest disappointment was not to score against Bayern's suspect defense.

Our team is much more consistent than last year, as evidenced by our position in the championship, but you can not help but wish another performance in Porto, Rome or Man City.

Van Dijk missed more than defend

I've always thought it would be a tough match against Bayern Munich and this has therefore been proven in the first leg here.

They obviously came up with a plan to contain us and did it well.

After a less than convincing start, the Joel Matip and Fabinho partnership has improved over the minutes.

Fabinho is perhaps the man of the match. Virgil van Dijk misses much more than his defense, but his organization and his smart balls out of defense make us a different team.

We had no more ideas in the second half, but the blank sheet was important at home for us and the first leg will be sure to be a completely different match. Let's hope we can use the space, score an away goal and win the draw. (Mick Charman, Hale Village)
