This year, VH1 Trailblazer Honors will pay tribute to the most respected politicians, artists, activists, activists, allies and personalities who have dedicated their time and unwavering commitment to the women's movement and beyond. Centered on this year's incredible breakthroughs in the areas of women's empowerment and human rights, the event will pay tribute to director, director and producer Ava DuVernay, the first Afro director. America's biggest hit in the history of the national box office; Nancy Pelosi, the first woman to be elected Speaker of the House of Representatives; Margaret Atwood, author of The Handmaid's Tale; and Tarana Burke, founder and activist of # MeToo. Rita Ora will perform her powerful personal anthem, "Soul Survivor", and Elle King will perform "Baby Outlaw". Dear, Anita Hill, Mindy Kaling, Alyssa Milano and Samira Wiley will also be present.
VH1 Trailblazer Honors will be held at the Wilshire Ebell Theater in Los Angeles, a National Historic Landmark and the extension of Ebell of Los Angeles, a 125-year-old women's organization founded on the occasion of the International Women's Day.
