BEIJING (Reuters) – Tesla Inc. said Friday it has started delivering model 3 cars to China, slightly ahead of schedule.
The US car brand said in a statement that it held a delivery event in Beijing Friday, which "was an important step for the market." The firm announced in January that model 3 shipments to China would begin in March.
The California company aims to accelerate sales in China, which have been hit hard by the impact of Sino-US trade tensions. She has adjusted the prices of her US-made cars in China to make them affordable.
