Time's Up Former President resigns after son accused of sexual assault – Variety

Time's Up announced in a statement posted on Instagram that its former president and CEO, Lisa Borders, who had resigned Feb. 18, had done so after her son had been charged with badual badault in a " private forum ".

"In less than 24 hours, Lisa made the decision to resign from her position as President and CEO of Time's Up and we agreed that it was the right decision for all parties involved."

Borders served in his role for only three months. His initial statement attributed his resignation to "family problems". Rebecca Goldman, Director of Operations, Time's Up, will now badume the role of Interim Executive Director.

"As Time's Up continues to grow, I'm proud of the work I've done to support its continued development," said Borders at the time of his resignation. "Unfortunately, it is with great regret that I have to resign from Time's Up to address the family's concerns that require special attention from me. I appreciate the opportunity to support this mission and hope that my efforts will continue to resonate. "

"All of our actions have been fully guided for our support of the survivors," said Time's Up's statement Thursday. "We respect the right of all survivors to own their own stories."
