Angus MacDonald has played only three times for Hull this season before a blood clot is discovered in his calf

Defender Angus MacDonald of Hull City will not play again this season after being challenged by deep vein thrombosis.

The 26-year-old man was put away in August because of a calf problem, but other tests in November revealed the presence of a blood clot.

"I hope we'll meet him again for the pre-season," Hull director Nigel Adkins told the club's website.
