Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is the king of the Ashanti kingdom
The Manhyia Palace in Kumasi, in the Ashanti region, has banned all funerals at Asanteman from Monday, April 8, 2019 to Monday, April 29, 2019.
This will allow Asanteman to mark the 20th anniversary of the foundation of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is the 16th Asantehene and is the traditional ruler of the Ashanti Kingdom since April 26, 1999.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu II succeeded Opoku Ware II in 1999.
