On Thursday, the presidency criticized former president Goodluck Jonathan for his contribution to the Niger Delta region during his tenure as president in Nigeria.

Nigerian President Lauretta Onochie's badistant in social media said Jonathan, president of Muhammadu Buhari, presidential candidate for the All Progressive Congress, had completed his work.

According to her, Jonathan failed to build roads for his people but Buhari proceeded to change even as a Muslim.

She added that Buhari had built the Otuoke Road, the village of former president Goodluck Jonathan that he (Jonathan) could not build when he was president.

Onochie wrote on his Twitter page: "Former President Goodluck Jonathan, a Christian PhD and lead son of the Niger Delta, has ruled this country for six years. Niger-Delta has little or nothing to show.

"Otuoke, his own village, had no roads or water leading to it. With the water, the road was built only by the administration of Muhammadu Buhari, a man against so much hatred against the Niger Delta.

"But people know better and know who their leader is. They know who really loves them; they know who cares for them; they know who brings development to their area; they know who is fighting their corner; they know that it is President Muhammadu Buhari.

"Even Goodluck Jonathan Expressway has been abandoned. Thank God, President Buhari, General Completer, has completed the road. Now, commuters are much happier because it has facilitated the blockage of traffic caused by the non-completion of the road. "
