The federal government notes that some parts of the United States continue to face easily preventable measles virus outbreaks among children and adolescents who have never been vaccinated. As CNN According to some reports, the FDA is closely monitoring states with lax vaccine laws and is considering drastic measures to prevent parents from taking advantage of certain exemptions.

"Some states have made such wide-ranging exemptions as to create epidemics of a magnitude that will have national consequences," said Dr. Scott Gottlieb, FDA Commissioner. CNN in an interview, adding that if "some states continue their momentum, I think they will force the hand to federal health agencies."
States that allow exemptions based on personal beliefs open the door to epidemics of diseases like measles, which has made dozens sick in Washington. Not surprisingly, Washington happens to be one of the states with particularly lax vaccine laws.
Vaccines required for school are applied in some areas where measles threatens to spread. Some school districts prevent children from going to school if they do not have the required vaccinations to protect the rest of the students.
