The professor was campaigning in the Volta region to seek votes before the NDC president's primaries this weekend.
Professor Alabi badured members of the NDC that he wished to unite the party as a standard bearer, and promised to ask his competitor, former president, John Dramani Mahama, to also direct another stage of the 2020 campaign, alongside all the other leading members of the group. gone to campaign.
The NDC experienced its worst political defeat in 2016: under the leadership of President Mahama, it registered 44.4% of the votes in the national polls. Some NDC researchers have blamed former president Rawlings for abandoning the 2016 NDC campaign, hence the defeat.

By completing his tour of the NDC fortified region, the professor promised to honor the region by granting him reciprocity for consistently voting for the ruling party.
