LOS ANGELES, February 23 – The Game of thrones star will appear in the showtime spin-off Penny Dreadful, the horror drama of the Victorian era, which ended in 2016.
Penny Dreadful: The City of Angels will be held in Los Angeles in 1938 and will feature all-new characters and scripts.
When a horrific murder shocks the city, detective Tiago Vega, played by Daniel Zovatto (Lady Bird, do not breathe), is involved in events that reflect the long and dark history of LA. Soon, he and his family will have to fight powerful forces that threaten to separate them.
John Logan, the creator, scriptwriter and host of the original series, returns to the bar.
Dormer will embody Magda, a supernatural demon capable of taking on the appearance of everyone she wants. Enemy dangerous but useful ally, Magda will appear in several aspects during the series.
The casting also includes Jessica Garza (The purge) and Jonathan Nieves (New Amsterdam).
Dormer is best known for his roles in Game of thrones and the Hunger Games franchise. She also played Anne Boleyn in Showtime Tudors, and recently played and co-wrote In the darkness. – AFP-Relaxnews
