CAMILLUS, NY – When Kelly Stewart began to slip handwritten notes containing customer satisfaction messages and quotes into takeaway orders at Fairmount Fair's Taco Bell, she had never realized how much customers would appreciate this gesture .

After customers started sharing the content of her social media posts, she was featured in a Syracuse.com magazine | The Post Standard article. She added that she loved people, that she helped them feel better and that she wanted to set a good example to her young son.

Whenever she works at the fast food restaurant, she writes inspiring messages on the back of the Taco Bell survey forms.

Sometimes it's just "Your life matters" or longer quotes, such as "When you reach the end of your rope, tie a knot around you and hold on – Franklin D. Roosevelt And Mark Twain, "Kindness is the language that the deaf can hear and the blind can see. "

Impressed by the contact with Stewart's 27-year-old client, Natalie Davis of Two Brothers Light, a suicide prevention group based in Syracuse, made a point of visiting Stewart Friday night at work to donate pens, stickers and a Stewart t-shirt.

"I just feel like someone who might be close to their limit could get a note from her and change their life, or at least feel better," Davis said. "What she does is inspiring – she is raising people."

Since the publication of the article Syracuse.com, Stewart's story has been featured on other media, including CNN, Fox News, Albany WNYT and Buffalo WGRZ.

She has also appeared on Yahoo Finance, the Good News Network, SunnySkyz.com, Ferndale, the IM-based radio station, 105.1, and more.

Stewart said he wrote more than 200 notes, some with simple messages and other longer inspirational quotes.

Taco Bell's marketing department applauded her effort, says Stewart, and plans to continue.

When not busy, she writes some messages, but she writes them often on the fly.

"These are small things that matter to people," she said, "It makes me feel good to help someone smile."
