Muse began her "Simulation Theory" tour in Houston, Texas last night (Feb. 22) and the spectacular show featured everything from LED-coated dancers to a giant robot skeleton hanging on the stage.

This is the first of a series of giant shows for the group, which released its eight album "Simulation Theory" last year. The record marked the group their sixth album number one.

With a long setlist, the band featured recent titles, "Propaganda", "Pray" and "Algorithm", as well as old favorites such as "Plug in Baby", "Starlight" and "Knights of Cydonia" closer.

The group teases fans with excerpts from their transcendental play over the last few weeks. Speaking of the show with NME last year, band leader Matt Bellamy promised that the show "would have surprised people."

He said, "We're going to do the biggest tour and amaze people with things they've never seen before. We will propose something that no one has ever seen before.

"We are always interested in the latest technologies and advanced technologies. So we think of the novelty that nobody has ever used in a concert. And we have found something and we will use it. "

When the tour was announced, the group proposed packages including a "mixed reality pre-show night" and virtual reality games.

The announcement was as follows: "The World Tour & # 39; Simulation Theory & # 39; will offer a new exciting enriched experience package that will provide access to an exclusive pre-show evening in mixed reality, hosted by Microsoft, with three original virtual reality games inspired by Simulation Theory tracks. . Additional benefits of the enriched experience include a premium concert ticket, a show-specific poster, an interactive photo experience with props, memorabilia of the group's latest videos and more. "

Muse is expected to play three important dates in the UK as part of the tour, two dates in London and one in Manchester confirmed.

Produced by Rich Costey, Mike Elizondo, Shellback and Timbaland, "Simulation Theory" was released last November.

In a four-star review, NME writes, "With its space-age rockabilly and EDM machine guns, this strange new album sees Muse withdrawing from the real world and turning into a pastiche in the manner of" Tron "of their own adolescence. . You will be ashamed to tell anyone how much you love them. "
