Provisional results from the presidential primaries of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) show that former president John Dramani Mahama takes the lead in the race for the seven men.
By mid-day, the results certified by the Electoral Commission (EC) of one of 275 constituencies showed that Mahama largely won in the constituency of Bodi, in the western region.
Polling stations closed at least five hours before the official closing time. The former president is currently beating his six candidates by at least 600 votes.
Alban Kingsford Sumani Bagbin voted five times; Ekwow Spio-Garbrah collected four votes; Teacher. Joshua Alabi collected nine votes; Sylvester Mensah voted three times; Goosie Tanoh seven votes and businessman, Alhaji Nurideen Iddrisu voted two votes.
