Jerry John Rawlings, former President of Ghana
The former president and founder of the Democratic National Congress, Jerry John Rawlings, was visibly absent from the party's presidential primary on Saturday.
Rawlings reduced his turnout to a tweet of a phrase for candidates and the party, wishing them the best of success and pleading for integrity, transparency and fairness.
In one way or another, however, it was announced that the party's founder would vote at the party headquarters in Adabraka, Accra, around 11 am, rumor that many media professionals would have rushed in this location.
But they were disappointed because Rawlings never showed up.
A source close to Rawlings told Graphic Online that it wanted to remain as neutral as ever and decided to stay out of the elections.
Let's do the presidential primaries today with dignity, transparency and fairness. My best wishes to all candidates. pic.twitter.com/X27LIawJFv
