The interim boss is looking for a quick start from his side against his rivals at Old Trafford, in a match that he considers the most important of the schedule.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants Manchester United to play Jurgen Klopp (Liverpool) at Old Trafford
The interim boss warned that his team could suffer if she decided to sit against the Reds during the Premier League clash on Sunday.
Liverpool is taking part in the competition on Sunday and is looking to return to the top of the standings, while Solskjaer is looking to remain undefeated in national action since being replaced by Jose Mourinho.

But the manager knows that his team can not be shy against Liverpool's much touted front line and must attack Klopp's attack from the start.
"We always want to take the initiative," he told reporters. "I thought we had started on a good footing against PSG but, once again, they took the initiative, so we will enter this match with the desire to dominate the match but we know their strengths.
"We know that they will wait for our mistakes and our counter-attack, but if we go back, they can dominate us.
"So we do not want to do that at Old Trafford, so we just have to take that lead."
Solskjaer also believes that Liverpool could feel the pressure of the title race this season, but also reminded his club that his club has not experienced success in the Premier League for a while.

"I'm sure Liverpool are feeling more and more under pressure every season, but we must not forget that we have not won a title in a few years either.
"We have to start being involved again, I would not want this club to end up being happy to be among the top four.
"If you aim too low and reach your goals, it's more dangerous than aiming too high and missing them."

And while Sunday's game could play heavily in the final position for both clubs this season, while United seeks to retain its place in the Champions League, the Norwegian says every game between the two clubs carries all expectations.
"Always the first match you are looking for on the meetup list: at home against Liverpool.
"I did come [from Norway] and I was in the studio with Gary [Neville] and Jamie Carragher a few years back when David [De Gea] was amazing in purpose. I think that he made six or seven stops and that it was 3-0 in the end. [in 2014]. This is the only game for everyone in Manchester. "
