Voters in a queue
DGN ONLINE estimated that two of the seven presidential candidates for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) had no voting agents in the Dome-Kwabenya constituency in Accra.
The vote began in the constituency at around 7:25 and the election officials in charge of the constituency told DGN Online that the two candidates did not have an agent to monitor the elections in the region.
However, Ga East district election officials Janet Koranteng and NDC Dome-Kwabenya District Secretary Thomas Dodzi told DGN Online that the remaining five candidates had their agents there.
Among the five candidates with agents are former President John Mahama, Professor Joshua Alabi, Goosie Tanoh, Sylvester Mensah and Alban Bagbin.
The reasons why MM. Spio-Garbrah and Iddrissu have no agents in the area are unclear.
At the time of completing this report, 30 electors had voted in Polling Station A and 40 in Polling Station B.
There are 1,800 voters in total and 900 per polling station. According to the electoral commission, the constituency has 10 constituencies.
