LONDON: Crystal Palace added pressure on coach Claude Puel on Saturday (February 23rd) with a complete 4-1 Premier League win over his team, which has played seven games without a win.
Two goals from Wilfried Zaha, one from Michy Batshuayi and a penalty kick from Luka Milivojevic have caused Leicester a fourth consecutive loss in the league – their worst series since 2000.
But it is the way of the performance that will have alarmed most Puel, with two goals conceded late to make booze of the crowd.
By contrast, Roy Hodgson, 71, was in a good mood since he officially became the most senior coach of the Premier League.
Leicester conceded the first goal for the 19th time of the season when Batshuayi was hit by James McArthur's shot, the ball rushing faster than Kasper Schmeichel. It was the first goal of the Belgian Premier League in 19 months.
Although Evans responded with his first goal for Leicester, after 64 minutes, Palace quickly recovered the advantage with a close finish from Zaha, who was coming back from suspension.
81 minutes had pbaded between Milivojevic and the game after 81 minutes. Evans made a superb 250th participation in the 1st World Cup by blaming Jeffrey Schlupp.
Zaha added his second goal and the fourth of the Palace, late after the mistakes of Harry Maguire and Schmeichel.
Interviewed on television immediately after the match, Zaha seemed surprised when James Tomkins received the best man of the match award. Invited to introduce it, Zaha joked, "Oh wow, really? Agree."
The win allowed Palace to take six points ahead of the relegation zone while he was one place and two points behind Leicester, 12th.
