The ten-man Nkana FC won Sunday's 3-1 win over Asante Kotoko in the CAF Confederations Cup group stage.
Ronald 'Sate Sate' Kampamba scored twice with Freddie Tshimenga on goal.
Beston Chambeshi seemed to have tweaked his tactics as he played the double pivot of Shadreck Malambo and Duncan Otieno with the very enterprising Kelvin Kampamba in the middle of the third period.
Nkana captain Walter Bwalya was lucky enough to open the scoring when he beat Ismail Abdhu on the right, but the defender shot him down for a penalty.
Tshimenga scored the goal in the 21st minute.
Kotoko quickly returned to attack and Richard Ocran pushed a Ghanaian striker just out of the box one minute later.
Yacouba Songwe approached and his well done effort sliced the crossbar at the right angle of Allan Chibwe to equalize in the 23rd minute.
Nkana then took advantage of a visitors' defense mistake so that Bwalya could direct Kampamba into space.
They increased their lead in the 53rd minute when Kampamba slipped between the huge defenders to make a center from the center of Gift Zulu to the city center.
